Mechanical and hydraulic performance of pervious concrete pavements: experimental evaluation

نویسندگان

چکیده

Pervious pavements emerge as an alternative for good management of surface runoff, providing the opportunity to quickly and efficiently reduce potential flooding reuse rainwater. However, mechanical hydraulic performance material have been extensively evaluated at laboratory level, leaving aside how will behave in field its exposure accelerate loss properties (clogging). In this sense, research permeable concrete experimental that simulates working conditions material, where such compressive strength, tensile porosity, permeability were evaluated, well efficiency due clogging. This is increase knowledge provide construction quality control guidelines guarantee correct functioning type pavement, considering great contribution sustainability.

Experimental Study on Mechanical and Hydrological Properties of Pervious Concrete with Different Water Cement Ratio

The aim of this research was to study the effect of various water-to-cement ratio on the properties of pervious concrete. Tests were carried out to find the optimum water-to-cement ratio that gives a high compressive strength with acceptable permeability. The tests of fresh density, compressive strength at 7days, porosity and water permeability for four mixes of pervious concrete with various w...

Ultrasonic Tomography Technique for Evaluation Concrete Pavements

Ultrasonic tomography is an emerging technology that shows promise for quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) during construction, or for making rehabilitation decisions in concrete pavements. However, the benefits of this emerging technology have not yet been fully captured for widespread use in highway infrastructure management. Verification of a state-of-the-art ultrasonic tomography devi...

Finite Element Evaluation of Pervious Concrete Pavement for Roadway Shoulders

Stormwater quantity control is an important issue that needs to be addressed in roadway and ancillary transportation facility design. Pervious concrete has provided an effective solution for storm runoff for parking lots, sidewalks, bike trails, and other applications. It should be readily adaptable for use on roadway shoulders. Being a relatively new material for use in pavement for roadways, ...
